ahh well i was thinking about getting adigital camera for my summer camp thats not very expensive because i will be buying it with my own money. I found this one and it is affordable and i have been reading the reviews. the biggest problem that ive been seeing is the bettery life doesnt last very long, and that it would be better to have rechargable batteries.
it says regular batteries last about 2 hours so how much time would rechargeable batteries last (sorry sp.)?
That was my first question and also it says its good for students in some of the reviews but im afraid that if i get it it wont be very good so if you have it or had it can you tell me if it is a good camera and if its cheap or not (the bad cheap)
Tankzyoo
it doesnt have to be pink

no, samsungs arent that good in the sense of the quality of pictures.
try casio's, penatx's or sony's
those 3 brands are pretty good.
also if you do decide to get it and you dont like the way it works you can always return it

http://www.woot.com/
This is the camera you should get but you have to hurry you only have thiry minutes left to buy it. The way woot works is it only sells one item a day from midnight to midnight the next day. This camera is great for the value. It has 10 mega pics compared to 7. It is much better and it comes in pink

I don't personally think it's that great of a camera, especially if your going to camp. Do u really wanna be charging batteries or carrying loads with you when your trying to have fun? I understand to price is nice but maybe a few more dollars will get u much better quality.
Check out Cannon it has really solid cameras
-canon a560 or a570 are both amazing
Hope this helps

I agree with one of your answerers cant stop music.
Check out the Canon A560 and Canon A570 IS
The A560 should run about $130, the A570 IS should run about $150- My opinion for the extra $20- or so the Canon A570 IS is a better value.
No, neither of the Canons are pink, don't let that be a major criteria when buying a camera.

We all know there are much better cameras available, but I'm not going to tell you which other camera or cameras you should buy instead. What matters most is it's a cheap camera and it's affordable (for you) and it should be perfectly ok for taking to summer camp. At least if it breaks etc. it's no great loss.
For a good power source, you need rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. High capacity are best (2500-2700mAh). If the camera use 2 batteries, then buy 4, so you always have a spare set. And they need to be recharged fairly often because their power drains when not used.
You can also buy non rechargeable Lithium batteries (such as Energizer e2). They're not cheap, but last much longer than regular batteries.
One way of conserving battery power is to limit the use of the flash and turn off the LCD screen in-between shots (the screen uses most of your battery power). And don't spend too much time reviewing your images on the screen…
You will also need to buy an SD memory card (1GB will allow around 300 images or so). Format it first…
