By digital art.. I mean.. the traditional notion of art only created on the computer..
tell me anything you know abt the digital art form.. exclude animations, cartoons and plain designs..
im talking abt art with meaning that needs interpretation.

They are technically very good, but something is missing from the artistic standpoint. Soul? They may just be a bit over-thought and too analytical. The best one is the nosering graphic, in my opinion.
I know some engineering/drafting specialists whose artwork looks a lot like that. I'd say the same to your friend as to them: keep a sketch book and do a lot of hand drawing all the time, to get the hand/eye moving and the ideas flowing. It's so easy to get caught up in what the technology can do, and lose sight of the heart/eye/soul thing.
Sorry if that seems a bit vague. It's hard to pin down. I don't mean to imply that the work isn't any good. I think there's a lot of potential there.

I think people do some really terrific stuff digitally but how's it going to show on a wall. It may be that digital work may fill a nich for now, but I don't see it taking over the well done oil or acrylic painting or pen and ink , etching etc etc etc… I am impressed with what some of my alumni have done using digital methods and I'll have a look at yours in a minute. I like lots of stuff, and I think it probably qualifies as "a real artform" perhaps moreso than photography because of how much the artist is involved with the medium in order to get the results.
