digital camera?
Posted on Jun 25, 2008 under Digital news and reports |im looking at the canon powershot and the sony cybershot. any other recommendations? what is the whole memory stick thing with the sony? any info is appreciated:)
i would also like a camera with a fast shutter speed. i know that the shutter speed depends on certain settings…anyway, what camera has a good shutter speed?

your not mentioning how much money you have to spend so I guess your not worried about it. Go with a Canon S5IS, it does everthing you could possibly want well.

The Memory Stick is Sony's proprietary memory. It is one of many reasons, that I tend to steer away and don't recommend Sony cameras.
Stick with Canon (Powershot) or Nikon (Coolpix) lines and you should be fine. I also always suggest you get one of the models that offer image stabilization. It will often cost a few dollars more than the models without it, but it is really helpful to avoid blurry shots.

I think canon and sony cameras are good. I have an Canon PowerShot SD950IS..It works great. I like it very much.
I got it with a on sale price..$300 instead of $400..

The best brand for a camera is Nikon. It has a 2 year gaurentee and very easy to use. The coolpix is my favorite.

The canon A-590 may be worth a look. It uses AA batteries.
If you buy a charger and rechargeable batteries you will be in good shape. It is a little clunky compared to other camera's but takes very nice pictures. I think you can get one for about $160 at w-mart.
