Why do so many people love songs where the singer's voice is digitized ( Lil Wayne, T Pain )? In my opinion it sounds so horrible and artificial. Do they do it to cover up a lack of real singing talent?
My cable Optimum (Cablevision) within the last couple of weeks has changed some channels like Scifi, TLC to name a few to total digital.
I have split the cable line into the box and separatly into three VCRs. Using each VCR tuners and record timers I could record everything except for the movie channels until three weeks ago. Now I get a screen that says this channel can only be viewed through your cable box.
I sometimes watch one channel and record three others at the same time. I cannot do this anymore for some channels. Just today 3-4 more channels seem to have gone box only viewing. In another month there probably be more. HELP!!!
Do these new digital to analong converters plug into the line or do they have channel selector buttons? That would not help completely.
Would the new VCR/DVD players with ATSC tuners be able to convert the cable companies new signal. An expense I would prefer not visit.

Whats a good quality compact digital camera that was a memory card included? It had to be $150 or below.
I want a good digital camera that takes great quality pictures has video and all that jazz and is compact and easy on the eyes. i would really like it to be pink,silver , black red, or white . any reccomendations?

I'm looking for a digital camera from $300 up to $600, but ideally around $400 of $500. I want a camera with at least 10 megapixel and upwards of 12x but ideally more like 16x-20x. Definitely with the ultra zooms image stabilization is important. I would also like a fast shutter speed and a variety of options. I don't mind something a little larger as long as it takes good photos, good zoom, decent flash, low noise, and options as well as style and comfort. I'm not a professional photographer but I like it as a hobby and really want a good camera to capture my special moments. I need this camera for a school trip to Paris this upcoming Easter with my French class. I don't know a lot about the true technical aspects of the cameras and would like any advice anyone has to give me. My top contendors are the Olympus 570, a Canon Powershot, Sony Cybershot, a Fujifilm, a Kodak but I'm leaning towards the Olympus, Sony, or Canon. I'm really undecided and appreciate any advice. It is a small digital cam that has a screen that rotates the pic on the screen when you turn the camera.

I am looking at the Canon Rebel XSI, Nikon D60 and the Sony Alpha 350. I have always used sony's point and shoot and have been really happy with Sony but I am ready to move up to a big girl camera. I need one that is user friendly but it must be able to take clear action shots like players in a soccer game and clear picture's of close up shots like flowers and words on a plaque. Can anyone recommend the best one out of these to do what I need to do? I am also open to other camera's or models.
im interested in buying a new digital camera sort of like the new nikon coolpix, the point and shoot type. I want to use it to take pictures with my friends and when im on vacation. Im very interested in photography but I'm dont want to invest in an expensive professional camera. I want a small camera that takes great pictures, no blurryness, that I can edit myself when I download them onto the computer without ruining the quality of the photo (that may have nothing to do with the camera but maybe just my editing skills hahah !) . I will probably use it tocapture the moments of my senior year! I want one that takes pictures quickly- no long delay time!
