Depends on how you are using it. If you are a professional, you maybe want to go somewhere above a brand name camera. Personally I think that Sony and Kodak cameras are great. Fujifilm's also work great altho i've never owned one.

in lenses the best to me, nikkor lenses theyre great all around lenses. point and shoot cameras, i would go with the nikon coolpix camera.
it has 8mp and a nice zoom

i personally think Sony is the best buy for the money, and really just the best personal cameras out there.

I know well from my experience.
Go for a sony if u need a digital or a bridge camera. This can be used for normal photography.
If you need a pro (means DSLR) camera, go for nikon. I prefer cannon too.
Remember never ever buy a nikon, if u need a compact and a digital camera. Nikon is only good in PRO and DSLR. And it's the best i know
