Can My western digital My book 500 GB external hardrive work on both my Mac Notebook and my windows xp pc?
Posted on Aug 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports |I have a mac notebook and also a windows xp desktop. i already know that this external HD is compatible with windows and mac, but my question is if i can use it on both computers? like if today i want to back up all my files on my windows desktop and then 30 min later i want to back up all my mac's file? is that possible or can i only use it on windows OR mac?

You should be able to move the drive back and forth without any problems.
It would also be a good idea to use the FAT32 file system to be able to read and write files from both machines.
