Where can I see comparison photos from various digital cameras?

Oh I meant to add I'm looking for a budget type model.

In the end that is a poor way to decide.
1) a really good photographer using a very basic camera can make it look great.
2) last weekend, someone showed up to a shoot as an "intern" and was shooting a $8,000 Canon. The poor guy didn't have a clue and there wasn't one image he shot that could be used for his "project" Most of his issues had to do with camera movement, but under and over exposure was evident as well. You have to know how to use what ever camera you have … bottom line
3) http://www.dpreview.com has many great cameras listed and they are all capable of making excellent photos … as long as the user knows how to use it.

If you still want to see what cameras can do, while you are on dpreview, look at the photos connected to each of the cameras you like
Look for
* A sensor of at least 6 mp
* Has an optical zoom of at least 3x
* One that has some kind of IS (except for ISO boost … it is just like digital zoom, but increases the ISO causing noise instead of cropping the sensor … both result in poor image quality)
* One that uses SD / SDHC memory card (the most used by all P&S cameras)
