i dunno wAt major to take… hhmmm. . pls. give me your opinion. either digital arts or software engineering.?
Posted on Sep 30, 2008 under Digital news and reports |i like digital arts. i like graphic designs. i like everything about it. but, if i take software engineering which i found that its fine. i have good grades in programming. i know i can make it. and if i am to take a job, i will have more salary rather than digital arts. i really want digital arts, but i dont think that it will make me a great person in the future. what will my job be? ..
if i take up software engineering i will be a wealthy and great person… but will i enjoy it? well, i can have short courses bout digital arts… OR i can even take up digital arts after i graduate software engineering but can i put my full focus in studying another degree that time!?
huhu, i really need your help.
answer me as fast as possible because its enrollment time next year for the majors. plz. help me in deciding.. pls. thnx. GodblZ!

Do what you enjoy tbh, I’ve chosen software engineering because I’m creative logically more than I am artistically :]
If you enjoy digital arts; graphic designers, 3d modellers and all sorts of digital artists are needed in a wide range of industries.
If you don’t enjoy doing some serious programming then you won’t go far as a software engineer. High school programming is a joke compared to the more serious stuff in all honesty, you should be well ahead in your knowledge of algorithms than the syllabus and should have a good idea of at least a few programming languages (learn C++, everyone wants C++)
I know codemonkeys on 140k-200k salaries, if you can become a manager expect much more. Designers have a lower salary but if you become a manager in that field it pays well too.
tl;dr version:
Do what you enjoy because then the money difference wont matter to you, some people would sacrifice that much of their salary to go to a job they love every day.
