I took an e.p.t. digital test this morning. It said not pregnant but when I ejected the test strip ?
Posted on Sep 30, 2008 under Digital news and reports |a few seconds later it had two lines. Very visible ones. I am wondering if maybe my hcg isn’t high enough yet for the digital to have picked it up? I took a dollar tree test the day before, and had a faint pink line, but it was after it had sat for a good while….so it was past the time limit. I just don’t know what to think. I’m about a week late. Should i interpret the lines on the digital test to mean i’m pregnant or go with the “not pregnant” digial reading?

the digital ones sometimes also detect the hormones produced by ovulation, so there’s no way you should go by the lines on the test strip for the digital test.
Wait a couple of days and take a non-digital test. If it’s still neg, and still no period, go to the docs for a blood test.

Get a more reliable test or go to the doctor for verification.

it could be an evaporation line. I would wait a week and take another test. If you still don’t get a good reading, make an apt with your doctor.

If you read the info in the digital tests, it will tell you that the lines DO NOT correspond with the results. The digitals are a different type of test, and the lines do not mean anything one way or the other. As far as the Dollar Store tests, theyre known for evap lines, so more than likely that’s all it was. You’re more than likely NOT pregnant, but you should ask your doctor for a blood test to ease your mind.

I would take another test or go to the doctor for a blood test for more accuracy. Some women’s hormone level is too low and doesn’t pick up on the hpt this early.

I would set up a doctors appointment just to be safe and just treat your body like you are pregnant. Request a blood test to be sure. Good luck

same thing happened to me and it was just too early to test, so i bought the regular HPT’s and would get faint lines for a few days then finally i bought another digital and it said pregnant

Never read the lines from a digital test there is always two whether pregnant or not pregnant.

Go to peeonastick.com and they have a whole section about digital tests. All the digital tests have 2 lines and you can’t rely on what’s on the stick once you eject it. As far as the other test it sounds like an evap line. Tests aren’t reliable after the time period has passed.
