well it will improve it some but if you have what is known as bottlenecking* one part is slower n rest of system then it wont make any diff at all, questons to consider? how much ram do i have and how fast is it? how fast is the processor its cahe etc,,
personally I ahve scsi cheetas they spin at around 14,500 in a o/5 setup with striping but without enough cpu and ram? or a slow board? well they would be limited to the rest of the hardwares configuration setup…
