Are there digital scrapbook programs? ?

Posted on Oct 01, 2008 under Digital news and reports |

I’m starting to get into digital scrapbooking. Can you offer any suggestions on good websites to use? Do they require a subsciption fee? What about computer programs that are mac useable?

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

subscription, but it’s not too expensive, you can send as e-mail or print

  5. YES!

The most versitile and widely used software is probably Photoshop Elements. Version 7 is about to be released so you should be able to get Version 6 rather inexpensively.

Next there are a couple of websites where I go to get most of my digital scrapbook media.

http://www.scrapbook-elements.com\sbe - lots of cute stuff and they are having a 30% off sale right now!

http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com - they have lots of layouts plus some online classes.

http://www.pixelgypsydesigns.com/Default.aspx - Have never ordered from them but their site looks great!

Just surf around and you will come up with a lot of choices.

    Another resource is http://www.scrappersguide.com/
They have tutorial programs for your computer that walk you through creating layouts and making your own elements in Photoshop Elements.

I bought some Digital Scrapbook software a few years ago and found it very limited. I bought Photoshop Elements and have never looked back. I can even copy and paste some of the elements from the other software and use it on my layouts. The downside of purchasing Photoshop is cost, plus you only get limited items you can use for layouts… and it’s more complicated than some of the other software out there… but the possibilities are much greater and since it’s so widely used, you can use elements from almost everywhere.

    Hope this helps!
