Digital copy help for movie?

I just bought The Love Guru with a digital copy for a portable device. I read the instructions and it says I need a DVD drive in my computer, which I don’t have. I have everything else to do the copy (Ipod touch, Itunes, and internet connection). Is there a way I can do the digital copy without the DVD drive?
My dad has a DVD player on his computer and I have his email. If he syncs the movie to Windows Media Player, can he send it to me and then I can send it to my Itunes libary?

What is HD TV and Digital Cable?

Hi. Right now I have basic cable from time warner. Please tell me if I am right.?? If I upgrade to digital cable, I get a box that sits on top of my tv,, it gives me more channels, (anything else)? Next question, if I dont upgrade to digital cable and my tv has a high dv tuner, does my tv still get dv? Maybe I am just confused about what all this crap is.. can someone please explain it it VERY simple terms for me? Thanks.

i have a tv that has a digital antenna, but i am in a college dorm room, so i only receive a few of the over the air channels. first of all, will i need to keep the digital antenna i have now when i get the digital converter box? and when i do get the converter box, will it improve the reception i get, giving me more channels?
