Can I use my regular dvd recorder with a digital converter?
Posted on Nov 21, 2008 under Digital news and reports |I was thinking about getting a dvd recorder. I heard there are dvd recorders with a digital tuner in them. is a digital tuner a way to watch digital tv?
I was thinking about getting a dvd recorder without this tuner (cheaper), but will i be able to record with this regular dvd recorder with my digital converter box?

yes you will be able to…
the converter boxes not only have a coax output, but they also have component outputs (red/white/yellow) so all you would have to do is hook the converter up to the input of the DVD recorder…

On a DVD recorder, recording to a dvd can be done directly the programmes from a TV and can also be played back on to the TV.Recording can also be done from an external source such as from Handycam , VCrR etc as there are sockets provided on the DVD recorder separately from input selection .
After the DVD is fully recorded,it has to be finalised before it can be played on any other DVD player. Software provides for finalisation
