What digital slr camera’s are the best?
Posted on Nov 30, 2008 under Digital news and reports |I’m looking for a new digital slr camera, that is between $500-$600 for Christmas. I want one that is able to change lenses, has high mega pixles, and takes clear photographs. I just want to know people’s opinions on which are best, and have actually used/has one.
Thank You.

All DSLRs can change lenses. Megapiexels don’t matter. Take a look at the Nikon D40/D40x/D60 or the Canon XS/XTi/XSi cameras.

You MIGHT find a body with a kit lens for that sort of money, but you need to understand that you will be wanting more lenses. You will also need some other things like a tripod, some filters, a spare battery, perhaps a flash.
Owning a DSLR is NOT cheap, you will NOT get away with $600 even if you buy only the cheapest lens (which you will regret later on).
You need to either realize that you need tons more money than that, or buy an high end P&S camera to learn on a for a few years.
I’d pick this one: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=144&modelid=17630
