Whats a Digital Sync? (regarding a cell phone)?

Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 8 Comments

Thanks in advance for responding.

anyways for some reason whenever my text’s don’t send it asks me if i want to send a message when digital sync is available. My question is what is digital sync is it like an emergency way to text people?

only reason i ask is because i tried texting a few people back today after they sent me text’s and for some reason even though i had service it wouldn’t let me text back. Then it asked if i wanted to send when digital sync was available so i choose yes. after i did that and tried texting them back it worked.

Video files on digital photo-frames?

Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 21 Comments

I am wondering which digital photo-frame I will choose. From Toshiba there is a model which plays MPGs and another one from the same manufacturer which plays AVIs and DIVX, the second one is a bit more expensive and has a larger (perhaps inconvenient) frame.
Is it easy to convert AVI/ DIVX to MPGs or vice-versa? What would you think?

How do I get good clear action shots on my Cannon SLR Digital Camera inside a gym shooting volleyball?

Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 12 Comments

I have set the aperture reading wide open and a 360 on the shutter speed, and the ISO around 1500. The pics come in focus but are dark. Is there a specific lens for indoor action shots?

How do I know if I have a digital TV?

Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 20 Comments

My parents gave me a flat screen TV. I’m in one of those remote areas with an antennae that soon will require a converter box. Stupid me let my coupon expire and they won’t give me another one. Before I run out and buy another TV I’d like to check if the one I have is already acceptable. How can I tell?

Can’t change digital vibrance on nvidia control panel?

Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 19 Comments

I recently bought a 9600 GT and did the necessary steps to remove old drivers and install new ones, however, I used to be able to change the digital vibrance slider, but now, while the slider does move, there is no effect.

Also, strangely, the number only changes in increments of 33 (0 - 33 - 66 - 100)

Help would be appreciated

Western Digital or Seagate?

Posted on Nov 04, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 19 Comments

I’ve finally cut the many different external hard drive options I have down to just these two:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/137323/show_product_specifications?spectype=extended

Which one is better? The Western Digital is £5 cheaper. The Seagate is smaller and lighter. The Seagate has sleep mode, but I’m not sure the Western Digital does? The Western Digital turns itself off with your computer. The Seagate allows file backups and encryption. The Western Digital has a 16mb cache, but I’m unsure what the Seagate has.

Anything else to consider? What should I get?
