This is the first time I’ve plugged in a digital optical audio cable. There is a screw next to where I plug it in. Am I supposed to unscrew it, plug in the cable and screw it back in? Whether or not I unscrew the screw it feels like I’m going to have to force it in, and I’m worried about breaking it. Can you help? I’ll give best answer.
I'm trying to plug a Sony TV into a Sony audio amplifier.
Ok. I've unscrewed the screw entirely and I'm really trying to push the thing in hard and it won't go. I've got to be doing something wrong. The tip of my digital audio cable looks like a small light bulb. The recepticle is square with a little spring-loaded door on it. The area below the light bulb on the cable seems to be the same size as the recepticle, but I can't shove it in that far. The square also has notches on the left and right sides. Should I just keep forcing it?? This is just bizarre.

I’m looking to get a new digital camera. I’ve been looking at a lot of the very small ones, and noticing that they all seem to come with their own rechargeable battery. My current camera uses AA batteries, and when I use lithium batteries, they seem to last forever. (Regular batteries are eaten up quickly.) I do tend to take lots of pictures - basically anything that moves (and I guess everything that doesn’t too). Would I be sacrificing on battery life by choosing a model that comes with its own rechargeable battery? I’d hate to be on vacation somewhere and the thing just dies in the middle of the day. Also, are backup batteries expensive?
My main concern is how many pictures I can get out of a single charge.

Obviously picture quality is important, but my biggest pet peeve with my current camera is that it can be slow to take the shot - the delay is HUGE when I am zoomed in. Any suggestions? I’m looking to spend soewhere in the $100-$200 range. Thanks!

Do you have to have the same brand digital camera to go with it? or can you just have a digital camera that isn’t the same brand as the fame?
