Need help buying a digital camera?

Posted on Dec 25, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 23 Comments

My girl friend wants a digital camera for christmas but I don't know anything about them? She said she wants one that does not have a delay - meaning that it takes the picture right when you press the button instead of waiting for the flash to charge.

Can anyone tell me what's good for a camera like pixelation and memory? Also if you could suggest some good ones under $200 I'd really appreciate it.

Posted on Dec 25, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 14 Comments

I download Movies

And I would Love to have a program which I can use to list me all the movies that I have saved on my Harddrive,

Also if possible list additional features about the movies that I have.

Example:
- Year Made
- Actors
- Genre
- Plot Summary/Movie Summary
- Rating
- …………….Ect………….Ect…….

Like a Library Data Base such as www.imdb.com!

But just for the collection that I have

Is there any such Software/Program available? Even if its Flash, Java, open source, or for a Mac… ect…ect.. )

I have this program called MyLib (but it sucks)

Not enough digital optical audio inputs on receiver?

Posted on Dec 25, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 19 Comments

I am trying to run 3 digital optical outputs to my receiver (TV, XBox 360, PC) but it only has 2 inputs! Digital coaxial isn't an option for any of them, either. What is the best way to solve this dilemma? Some kind of switcher or something? It would also seem to me that there should be some kind of splitter, since only light is being passed and it seems like it would be easy to create a splitter, with two fiber optics merging into one or something, so that when one is active and the other isn't, you'll get the active output. Seems simple enough. Does such a splitter exist?

Having trouble with my Fujifilm Fine Pix digital camera?

Posted on Dec 25, 2008 under Digital news and reports | 13 Comments

I just bought a new Fujifilm FinePix z20 digital camera. I have a memory card in it. I am trying to load my pics onto my computer, but everytime i plug the usb cable in i get a message saying "I/O error occurred. Process aborted." I have installed the software and even unstalled it and re-installed it again. Still the same thing is happening. If anyone knows what might be the problem, please help me. Thanks!
