Digital hpt, had only one line yesterday.. but two today?
Posted on Jan 25, 2009 under Digital news and reports |I took a clear blue digital… yesterday! it Showed "not pregnant" but of course I had to take it apart.. it showed one line which is the test line I assume. I took another this morning with first morning urine, and still "not pregnant but now there are two lines, the dark test line and a faint blue line….
Does that mean anything? I know I'm not ovulating because I took the ovulation test as well!!!!

get another test, non-digital so there is nothing to take apart. If you still question the results go to your Dr and get a blood test done.

The digital tests are VERY accurate and can be used early on. I took one when I was 2 days late and it said "pregnant". Wait another few days maybe, then try again?
Also, if you are pregnant, an OPK will usually actually show positive!
OPK's detect LH (luteinizing hormone) which is the hormone associated with ovulation. Pregnancy tests detect hCG, the hormone associated with pregnancy. LH and hCG are, at a molecular level, nearly identical) which is why the OPK will pick up the HCG hormone too.

I would purchase another test and do a lined test. They are more sensitive then the digital tests dear. =)

I used Clear Blue easy digital and It showed "not pregnant", but received two lines as well, but I soon learned that it is very common for digitals to show two lines… that's why they say you shouldn't take them apart, and It was a pain for me to take mine apart.. i had to get a hammer to crack it open:) so that should tell you that they are not meant to be examined by the naked eye.

The dollar store brands are great inexpensive way to test at a low level and can be read by simply reading the lines…
Try a non digital and test again

Jajjajj im not laughting at u, I just remember I did the same thing took 2 digital test and took it apart and yeap it had 2 lines I was excited since my period was late 2 so I was like yes im pregnant :]
But NO I was not Pregnant I learnd my lesson don't open the digital test does line don't mean anything is a evap line …so if the test say [not pregnant]

From what I can gather when you read the second test it was first negative then much later it showed positive… is that right? well, just remember that there usually is a time limit on how long you should read the test after it has been done. often they said only valid if read with in 10 minutes. so, i would definitely caution you getting your hopes up if it was longer than that. my advice… take another test using first morning urine in a day or two. if still negative and you are over due for your period, call your doc for a blood test if being late is abnormal for you.
