I need to replace my digital camera. The last two cameras I've owned were Kodak and they were very user friendly. I would like to spend around $200. I want one that is user friendly, has zoom and takes a great picture. I haven't bought one in over 3 years, so I'm not sure what my choices are. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Okay so my cousin asked me to borrow the camera and i told her yea. Please don't tell me things like you shouldn't of let her borrow the camera in the first place, i figured that out on my own. SO she misplaced it and a couple of months later while my brother was fixing the yard and he found it. which was 30 mins ago. And it turns on but the lens doesn't go out and i opened the things that cover it now its stuck open. when my brother gave it to me it was covered in dry mud now. but when i put the battery on it says please turn camera off and on again. What should i do send to go get fixed or open it myself or what?

It does not zoom very far.
What is a good cheap camera that zooms really good and takes great pictures?

A little about myself: I'm a college student, I'm not looking for something that is going to take professional photographs, I'll mostly be using the camera for travel, parties, and friends, but I have been known to take an attempt at 'photography'. I've also been looking for one for several days and keep going back and forth between many cameras! Help me!
Important factors for me:
Less than $220.
Ultra-compact, MUST comfortably fit in a pocket–the smaller the better
Video capable, I don't care about hd, or any other gizmos, just using the videos for facebook/youtube
Excellent photo quality, I'm downgrading from a Nikon D40 (simply don't need an SLR at the moment)–while I know that photo quality is impossible to compare to a d40, I'm looking for something that isn't laughable as I WILL be printing many of these photos to give to friends and family.
I would strongly prefer it use SD cards, but it isn't a dealbreaker for me.
Amaze me with your deal-finding, digital camera knowledge and skills!

I'm in a Digital Imaging class and i need to write down what the F-Stop and the Shutter Speed and ISO is. I've never taken a Photography class and i'm terrible with cameras! I know why am I even in the class….If someone could tell me where I could find this information on the camera I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!
(I don't have the manual)

How do I convert IFO files? Preferably to WMV, or anything that'll just let me play the video without having the disc inside and that I will be able to use in video editing software like Movie Maker or WinDVD creator. I need this to be free, simple, and quick- thank you.
and please- none of those trial programs that leave watermarks right in the middle of the video- thanks

I live in Bel Air MD. I hooked up my zenith converter box to my TV and antenna. The TV shows all the options from the converter box but when I do "auto-tuning" it only finds maybe 1 channel but most of the time none. It usually says "no signal". I even tried buying a new antenna. Please help!
