Please be patient with this question but RCN just switched over to digital cable this past week in my area, and I set up the digital converter box that they sent me. The problem is that I only receive about twenty channels now and the forty or so music channels. I have lost espn, msnbc, food network etc etc and retain mostly just the public channels. Im going straight from the cable cord to the digital converter then to the TV via AV cables. I use to route my cable through a vcr & dvd player. The TV is a daewoo that I inherited with my apartment. Do I also need a digital tuner or something along with the converter?
After researching more, it seems that I am missing the encrypted RCN channels. Do I need a STB or cable card along with my digital converter box? This doesnt seem right.

I just bought a Magnavox ZV450MW8 digital DVD/VCR recorder. I have two analog and one SDTV. Will the VCR (not interested in DVDs) record digital tv on the analog tv's without additional equipment? I am OTA/antenna only. I haven't hooked it up yet and am contemplating exchanging it for a Phillips 3735 with HDD.

I just print out 13,000 $40 coupons last week for the switch. They were to accommodate the governments lack of coupons to people in desperate need of a coupon that were complaining. They all have 02-17-09 on them. Will the government reimburse me for my losses to have new coupon printed?
The mayhem was suppose to be worse than the Millenium bug.

My boyfriend has changed offices, and I bought him a dig. frame to keep his real photos neat. The frame only accepts memory from an SD card. Our computer does not have a memory card slot, or I would scan and copy that way.
Any suggestions?
And, can I take dig. pictures of the photos to get them on an SD card?
Only idea I have…

now you either buy it or get a new tv,…"digital" first they say the deadline is feb.17, now they want to pospone it till june,in other words to either give people more time to get the converter or buy a new tv, what a scam!!!!
