I bought a Kodak digital camera a C830 I believe. The first thing I don't understand is the box, the camera, and the sticker on the camera say 8.2 megapixels, but when I turn it on it says 8.1 and the highest setting is 8.1. When I take a picture it says 8.1. The box matches the camera, and 8.2 is even etched into the camera. That I'm not that concerned about, I was just wondering why the discrepancy. The thing I really don't understand is; my other camera is 7 megapixels and it has a 256MB card in it. That holds about 80 pictures at the highest resolution setting. For this camera, I bought a 2GB card, which is 8 times larger than the 256MB card. So I figured 80 pics X 8 = 640 pics, minus a few because of the extra megapixel. I even used this formula; 256MB divided by 80 pics = 3.2MB per pic, 3.2MB divided by 7 mega pixels = .45MB per megapixels, so 8.1 megapixels = 3.6MB per pic, and 2GB (2048MB) = 568 pics. The box from the SD card even confirmed this. The chart (having different size cards in the diagonal columns, and different megapixel cameras in the vertical columns) said you can store approximately 595 pictures using an 8 megapixel camera and a 2GB card. I got 568 because I was calculating for 8.1 megapixels, an extra tenth. The confusing problem is when I put the card in and set the camera to the highest resolution (8.1 megapixels) it said I could hold 1680 pictures. Can anyone tell me why?

I'm looking into buying a new digital camera that is slim, has a high # for optical zoom and megapixels. Someone told me 5x optic zoom is bad but…I'm really interested in a camera called Fujifilm Z200fd. Is there one better than that? I appreciate the help. :]

Whats going on?? I'm hearing all these different things on the radio and how urgent it is and it's a real 21'st century crisis? Is it going to be a disaster?
Is it like some new type of worm or virus like back then in 2003?

What is the point of the transition. is it really necessary? why does everyone have to do it? I mean, right now i have charter cable and everything looks fine. i dont mind.
I dont know but i think the government doesnt just want money.. our cable television right now is almost perfect i think.. rofl you have to be really greedy to beg the government to make the tv's clearer.. its already so clear..
so if anyone knows any government things i wud want to know
i dont think its just for money, they do all this for money.. its very unlikely

I have a 5 year old Canon G2 - it does beautiful photos but the video feature is terrible. Can someone recommend a digital camera that makes clear videos? Best photo feature is my first choice, then video. Thanks!
Thanks fhotoace. I forgot to add that I am thinking of spending no more than $500.

Hey everyone. I've had my Standard Definition DIGITAL tv for about a year now and never got around to buying an antenna and checking out the sd digital picture. I have a non-digital Time Warner cable service coming in through a coax cable (78741 area code).
I have a couple of questions. Firstly, are any of the channels i'm receiving in digital or do i need digital cable service for that. Secondly, will ota digital picture be any better than the cable channels i'm currently receiving if they are digital.
Thanks for your help!
