I don't simply want a scanned version of the crest - that would look amateur. What software would I need to do this, or is there any companies out there that will convert a .jpeg image to a digital representation?

My TV is shot and I want to buy a new one. I have cable service so, I don't need a converter box, just a new TV. I'm not that interested in HDTV, and I want to just find a DTV. I went to just one store, and found only HDTVs. I left frustrated and decided to ask here before I went to another store. So, is it possible to buy a DTV, or are they extinct?

I take a lot of graduation portraits and id photographs in small (on location) studios. I have a Nikon D40 which I use with 2 small slave strobes but it does not satisfy my needs. I want a low cost dslr that must: (a) carry a sync cord (b) use LCD and viewfinder to view subject (c) light adjustment/apature (F) reading go less than the 4 on my nikon D40 (maybe about 2.8). (d) use SD memory card (which I presently have in my D40).(e) relatively low cost (Nikon or Canon).
(Thanks everyone. Your answers are quick, precise and very helpful).
(a) I will buy a Nikon AS-15 adopter
(b) I need a Nikon back-up camera with the lens you mentioned in your answers (that can also work on my Nikon D40). Which is the cheapest with the features mentioned above.
(c) I am buying two MX 160 320W/S strobe flashses.
Presently, at graduations, other flashes trigger my JTL Slave flash. Can these lights only react to my camera (via the sync cord). I want lights that has the option to (i) be used as slave flash (ii) be triggered by sync cord.
Which (relatively cheap) lights can satisfy the above.
THANKS EVERYONE. Your answers are quick, precise and very helpful).

Can I easily put them on one thermostat or is it something I should call and electrician for?
I am not an idiot. I know to shut off the power flow at the breaker. I can usually do things on my own since my husband is not too handy. I do not yet have the thermostat. I don't understand why people have to give stupid answers. If you have nothing better to do than answer real questions by being a jerk than you need to get a life. Just because you are a puss and are afraid to do things doesn't mean that everyone is afraid to do things on their own. sorry to the others who are answering this with genuine answers. I appreciate your time and input.

Hi! I'm 15, but I LOVE photography. I've taken a few pretty decent pictures on my crappy digital cameras, but I really want a good Professional Digital Camera. My dad likes photography too, and he is actually really, really good, so we were planning on sharing - but that's the problem. I want a digital camera that's good for me (a beginner), and one that's good for my dad (whose really good).
Price range: I have about $500 on me right now, but if there's one that is just amazing for me, then I'm sure my dad would throw in a couple hundred.
What I photograph: Landscape, people… everything pretty much.
:] thanks so much for the advise!
