I've had my Nikon L18 for a while and i love it but my little cousin needs a new camera and I kind of want a new one anyways. I use a mac so it needs to be compatible and I'm looking to continue with the slim model cameras. But I really want to know the best cameras out there! Nikon Canon Fujifilm etc… So if you could suggest a model thats a good camera with great photo quality i'd be grateful!

I'm looking for a camera with at least 8 mega pixels and 3x zoom. Was thinking about the Coolpix s210 (I want it ASAP so it can't be that new Cybershot coming out March 21st)

Because the digital transition is delayed until June, does that mean if I cancel my cable, I can use a rabbit-ears antenna and still get all the local stations until then?

I got a samsung S1050 digital camera for my birthday, and at first it worked alright, but now when i put in brand new AA batteries, they last around 5-10 minutes which is of absolutely no use what-so-ever! And I tried using my rechargeable batteries, which are supposed to be more powerful than ordinary batteries but there's still no difference. It has received a knock in the past, and has a small dint in the side, so therefore i can't take it back.
Does anybody else have this problem with this camera?
Does anybody know where i would be able to take it to get it repaired if this is possible?
Can anybody shed any help full light at all on this situation?
Any help will be appreciated as i really want this camera working again, its the best camera i've had.

I want to know which brand is best, in terms of picture quality and speed.
Please explain your answer.
Thanks
Also, if I want a waterproof camera, my current options are just Olympus and Sony. Should I wait for the new waterproof Canon to come out?

Cloudy, fluorescent, daylight, auto, tugston? My flash doesn't seem to work - every picture I take indoors is very dark. Also, if you can help…what would be the best resolution and exposure?
