Digital camera advice anyone?

Hi everyone. I've been wanting to buy a new camera, but with the economy issues i need to make sure its the right one with a reasonable price. I like taking pictures of people and places, i'm not too into photograhy so the camera does not need to have many special effects and whatnot. But on the other hand, I want a camera that takes amazing pictures, with really good quality, almost like a digital SLR (of course, I know i won't be able to find one that good in my price range). Anybody know any great, decent priced camera that fits my description?

oh and quick question, does the number of megapixels really determine how much better the pictures are? because ive come across some cameras that are more expensive than cameras with higher megapixels.

I'm in the market for a digital camera. I'm not looking for a fancy, tricked out camera. I just need a point and shoot type that will deliver good quality pics and have some cool features. I'm looking to spend $225 or under.

Need some help uploading video from digital camera…?

I am trying to upload some video I took on my digital camera of a concert on youtube, and the clips are like 4-5 minutes long, and so far I am trying to upload the 1st clip, and that was 3 hours ago, and it is still trying to upload! Why is it taking so long and is their anything I can do to speed up the process? The cam is a Olympus FE-280, 8.0 megapixel, and the memory stick is 2 GB.
*yes I re-did it 3 times now and it is still taking forever.

Comcast digital TV tab?

when i sign in to comcast.net to look over my email and voice mails and stuff i notice that there is another tab called Digital TV but it is grayed out and i cannot click it. I have comcast Cable one standard box and another HD Box so does anyone know what this tab is supposed to do?

Should I buy the kodak easyshare M1073 digital camera?

I have been researching digital cameras for weeks, and I am liking the kodak easyshare M1073. It has 10.2 megapixels, comes in a cute pink, has a lower price of $159.99, which I don't care about getting the best deal but it seems to be a good quality camera based on the user reviews. The only thing that bothers me is the zoom, it is 3x optical zoom, which is normal it isn't unussually low but I would like more zoom. So I'm kinda wondering if this is the camera for me. Please let me know if you think this camera is good or suggest another one. Thanks!!!
