  1. All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on…….

The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.

I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
    Good Luck

  2. Since you need video in your camera, then the best one you can get is the Canon EOS 5DMkII.

    Enjoy!

  3. Currently there are only two DSLR's that can take video. They are the

Canon 5D MKII at $2,700 for the body only

    Nikon D90 $1,000 body only.

The Canon is clearly the better camera. You will need to purchase at least one lens with either camera. Lenses can go from about $200 on up to several thousand or more depending on the lens.

  4. NASA has a nice new one (don't know the OEM) that has a 95 gigapixle ccd system. The cost may well be out of your budget though as I think it cost over 1.6 million.

  5. Sagar Mahajan Says:

    Sony-DSC-H10
    Rs 14,880/-
8.1 mega pixel camera with a CCD sensor. 3-inch large LCD screen and a self-timer. 10x optical zoom and 2x digital zoom. internal memory of 31MB and the memory can be upgraded with a Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo. added features like Face Detection, High Definition shooting modes and comes with a 1GB Memory Stick.

this one is the best professional camera in this price range with all features, good image as well as video quality, good durability and value for money.. good choice for photography..
