Changing out the speakers on the Yamaha YPG-635 digital piano?
Posted on May 27, 2009 under Digital news and reports |Is it possible to change out the speakers on the Yamaha YPG-635 digital piano? I hear the the factory stock speakers are really bad quality…. So I was wondering is it possible to buy the same size speakers of higher quality and put them in the piano myself.
How hard would that be?

Recommend its best to route the sound out through an amp and speakers of your own choice.
Reconfiguring the instrument invalidates warranties, if that is a concern.

Yamaha is famous for using proprietary sizes. It's bad enough in the larger digital pianos, but in something as form-fitted as an injection molded YPG-635 you'll never get anything else in there.
