What is a good cheap small digital camera that takes great pictures and has good memory?

The Canon Powershot A590IS is a very good camera for less than $150.

I'm assuming u have a specific camera size in mind since you said "those small cameras". Anyway I was browsing on amazon.com and found a nice polaroid camera for your daughter. It has 7 megapixels, 3x optical zoom… but I'll spare you the rest of the details since I'm not sure how much you know about cameras.
The camera is on sale right now from amazon at $59.99. Its original price is $119.99. I think this is the best bang for your buck. You're daughter would definitely love this camera.
