I connected the DCH70 Digital Cable Box, VCR, and DVD Player all together…?

You need an A/V selector box, if you don't have enough inputs on the TV.

this can mean many things. for instance if you connect your DVD Player up through the RF connector on the rear of the TV then you will need to make sure that the selector switch on the DVD player is matching the selector switch on the TV. In other words make sure the DVD Player is set to channel 3 and the television is set to the same channel, channel 3. if you want to use channel 4 instead then set both to channel 4.
it could also be because you have the RCA jacks connected to the wrong inputs on the television. Make sure the RCA jacks are plugged into the Red, White, and Yellow jacks.
check the setting on the DVD player and make sure it is set to NTSC not PAL, this was the culprit on my DVR.
