I lost my disk for downloading my pictures off my USB digital still camera what should i do?

You must have a Canon. If you installed the software on your computer, you should not need your disk every time you transfer images
The solution is this. Spend $10 and buy a USB 2.0 card reader and use if from now on. Keep your camera out of the loop

Most of the software is available online for free, go to the camera makers site and check with your model number.
Sometimes the pictures are in a format that doesn't need special software to copy and open, just try it and see.
