Digital Television Question?

Posted on Jun 24, 2009 under Digital news and reports |

If I get the converter box for the D-TV, do I need to still pay the bills for Qwest TV service?
Or do I need to get a different service on Qwest to watch Digital TV?

  1. The converter box allows you to watch free of-the-air TV, just your local stations. If you want Cable programming you need to keep Quest.

To watch Digital TV from quest, wait until you get an HDTV, then upgrade to the digital TV package.

  2. I had Qwest Choice TV until a couple years ago. I suspect this is what you are speaking of. At that time, Choice TV did not provide high def service (this is in response to TV Guy's comment which I think is wrong), but as TV Guy has correctly indicated, if you have their service, you do not need a converter box. Qwest Choice TV has always been digital.
