Question about a Western Digital Device and Formatting?

Ok so I have a western digital Mybook 500gb external hardrive. The drive has worked for about 6 months without a problem, then all of a sudden it's telling me to reformat the drive. All the folders except for one of the folders works. Whats going on with the hardrive and how do I fix it?

Also since I broke my mom's computer when I installed microsoft office any help with what error loading OS means would be helpful. I've looked it up on google and I'm not sure what flashing a bios is or how I do it since I got the comp. from tiger direct so it didn't come with any booklets letting me know which bios it is.
Any help would be good…

What kind of digital camera do you have?

I don't really know anything about digital cameras but I want to buy one. What are the cameras called, that are not digital, just "normal" ones? I used to like those better because the quality seemed to much more professional. The lighting seemed warmer, colors seemed brighter. On digital cameras it seems that everything looks paler, etc. Is it just me? I wanted a digital camera that had those qualities to it, with a good price, if possible. What kind of digital camera do you have?

Can I use lithium batteries in my digital camera–should I take out batteries if I won't be using it soon?

The booklet recommended alkaline batteries –so would the lithium batteries still be O.K.? The alkaline only lasted 3 months–and I left them in while I practiced.

I tried to upload a video I took with my Olympus digital camera to youtube and get a error unable to covert file.
It has done this several times.I never had trouble before.
