why so many high fertility days on clearblue easy digital machine?

Posted on Jun 01, 2009 under Digital news and reports | 18 Comments

My cycle is every 30-34 days. My husband and I started TTC this month. I started using the tester again. Im on day 18 and have gotten nothing but high fertility readings since day 11. I started testing on day 8 and on day 11 got high fertility and have only been high since. No egg symbol yet.

Does any one know why some women get continued days of high fertility? And never show an egg?

This has happened once before and blood work confirmed I ovulated but clearblue easy is on holiday today and they have nothing on their website indicating a reason why the high is reading for so long. It only says a women should get it for 1-5 days… not 8+ as in my case.
Clearblue operator told me that because I hadnt used the monitor in about a year that the monitor might not register my hormones accurately and that it might take a few months to give accurate results…. doesnt help when trying to concieve, but I go in for blood work to see if Im even ovulating today, so we'll see if I did or not. Doubt Im pregnant this month, but we'll hope for sticky baby dust for next month if not. Good luck to all!

I want something that is like a glass photo cube with the base that has the lights to light up the glass that has the picture engraved in it BUT instead of having the photo already engraved in it, I want the base to have an SD card so that the pictures from the SD card show in the glass. I reallllly want to get something like this for my husband for fathers day because it's his first one and I want it to be really neat… the problem is I don't even know if they make this.. HELP!!!

Is it worth having greater than 3x optical zoom on a digital camera for traveling?

Posted on Jun 01, 2009 under Digital news and reports | 16 Comments

I'm going to Europe for 3 months and I'd like to get a new camera. Currently I have a Canon powershot A310 from ~2003, so even if I wasn't traveling, its probably time for a new camera anyway. I was hoping to get something with greater than 3x optical zoom because I am rarely happy with the way landscape shots turn out on my A310, but I'm wondering if that is just due to the age of the camera and its out-of-date components? How much of a difference will 4x or 5x optical zoom make?

My budget is $300 CAD and I'm looking for a point-and-shoot, probably Canon again since my camera has been so good so far…

will our digital images become useless in the future? fhotoace please answer.?

I don't know about you, but I always think in the back of my head that what am I gonna do the day our digital images become useless. by useless i mean the format. the most common formats these days are jpeg and tiff, will there ever come a day when no application or devise will be able to read them? I mean, look at VCD's, they are no longer produced as wide as before, and come blu-ray's, the same thing will happen to DVDs. what if for say, ten years from now, all the cameras save in a new format, and jpeg's will fade, what will happen to our pics today? Should I be worried, or just laugh at my ignorance? Is what I'm saying possible?
