The only thing that you would need to be aware of is the battery charger. The plug will basically be the typical USA 2-prong plug. Depending on what your home country is you will need an adapter to be able to plug in the power. ANother thing to watch out for is how much voltage your home country supplies. in the usa it is 110VAC. in europe and other countries its 220. Most camera battery chargers work for both but you HAVE to check. If you don’t see both that it works for your home input voltage DO NOT plug it in as it will kill your battery.

Not only the voltage, but inquire as to the warranty. Most warranties only cover the contential USA unless you are stationed overseas in the military and have a FPO or APO address. The battery charger will have to be attatched to a transformer in Europe to downgrade from 220 to 110 volts.
