How do I upload my Digital Camera Pictures to a site like GIMP using my memory card?
Posted on Aug 31, 2009 under Digital news and reports |I don’t want any of my pictures to be deleted. They are pictures that can NEVER be replaced. I’m not very good at stuff like this and I don’t want to take any chances of losing any of my pictures, so I wanted to ask and see how I can do this, without my pictures being deleted. Can you help? You need to have your computer on line and signed in to the internet. Then when it asks you to upload a picture go to the place you have stored your picture and upload it.
If you connect your digital camera to the computer just search in the directory of your camera. Or you could upload the pictures to your laptop and then upload them to the site. That way you have your picture on the camera, computer and site.
Eventually you will want to remove the pictures from your camera so you can take more. Saving them to your computer’s hard drive will keep them and you won’t lose them.

You can not load them directly from a memory card to the internet, you must first download them to your computer. If you want your pictures to remain on the memory card do it manually.
Pictures from cell phone or camera to computer
Remove the memory card from your phone or camera and insert it into the adapter that came with the memory card and insert it into the drive slot in your computer.
Click start then My Pictures, create a new folder and name it. Click start then My Computer, double click the drive that has the memory card. It is usually the I drive.
Copy and paste the pictures from the memory card to the folder you just created. To copy right click on a picture and select copy, go to the folder, right click and select paste.

Just upload the pics on your computer to a site like photobucket.I also save the memory cards.They are so cheap that I don’t delete them when they are full,I just buy new ones.
