My son dropped my digital camera in the sink last night,The main area that has alot of water is the screen :(?

My camera is a Kodak 10.1mega-pixels,12x optical zoom camera, most of the water is in the image screen and is just staying in there..PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

  1. It may not be possible to drain the water without opening the case. The general rule with electronics that have taken a dip is to turn them off immediately, remove the battery, dry them off and let them sit for several days with all doors, panels open to allow the electronics to dry off. Believe it or not, pure water doesn’t normally harm electronics…It’s the impurities that cause shorts and blown circuits. If you’ve already taken the steps and still have water in the case, your camera needs to go to a repair center. Depending on the cost of the camera versus the cost of repairs, it may be easier to just replace the camera.

    Take the batteries and memory card out. Leave the doors open. Use a hair dryer to get rid of the visible moisture. Then put it in a bag and cover it completely with rice. The rice will draw any other moisture out. Leave it for 2 to 7 days. Make a prayer to your favorite god and reassemble. It has been known to work.
