Recently, I was thinking of buying a digital tv tuner for my PC. I was just wondering if, say, I buy it in America or Japan, then I can watch both American and/or Japanese live broadcasts while I am abroad in Europe? Or do digital tuners only work for the signals from the country that they were designed for? I mean all digital signals are the same so in theory any digital tuner should be able to pick up its native and foreign broadcasts wherever it is right?

Many times at night all the stations are frozen. How many times have you seen the picture and voices out of sinc? This morning I’m watching Meet The Press and that became frozen twice. When it recovers it doesn’t start where it stopped. It starts where it would have been and you’ve missed a chunk of the conversation. Digital SUCKS! It just froze again as I’m writing this!!

do people want top dollar for everything they own? It’s sickening how greedy and opportunistic people are. I’m looking for, either a used Canon G9, G10, or a used Canon SD 880 IS. Everywhere I look (Ebay, Craigslist, Amazon, & countless small sites) the price for these cameras USED (I repeat U-S-E-D) rival their price NEW. Yeah, I’m running. I’m running and tripping all over myself to buy something used that should be 40%-50% less than buying it new. People are crazy.

Knowing that it happened last year, I know this really affects the tube televisions that a lot of people, such as myself, still have but yet I didn’t have to get a converter box for it. However, are the tube televisions on their way out the door all because of this?
