Digital converter box turns off after 4 hrs. Can this be changed?
Posted on Sep 24, 2009 under Digital news and reports |We would like to record a TV program while we are at work. The TV is turned off when we leave but the recorder and converter box is left on. It will record for up to 12 hrs, but the converter box turns off after 4 hrs. Can we change this on the converter box - to stay on longer?

I know for a fact the RCA digital to analog converter box is defaulted to turn off after so many hours, but after studying the manual there is a way to set the box to stay on 24/7. I don’t know exactly how, but the manual will instruct you how to do this.
