Digital Photo Organizing/Management?
Posted on Sep 25, 2009 under Digital news and reports |I’m looking for the best program to organize my digital photos for a specific project. The project entails digitally sticking photographs together to form panoramas. I am looking for software that will allow me to lay the photos on a virtual type desk and size them and everything so I can pick through the good ones (i.e. not blurry or to grainy) to put into photoshop or microsoft ICE. Does such software exist? If so what is it and where can I get it?

Quick answer is no, I have not heard of software that does this… but…
Depending on how many photos you have, you can just use a large sized canvas in photoshop and drag the photos around inside the canvas to see how it will look. To make it easier, you can use the Image Processor in Bridge or via Photoshop directly to make a copy of all the photos smaller, to be more manageable.
OR
You can print contact sheets and cut ‘em out and do it on your trusty wooden desk.
