Cable tv question: how to upgrade my secondary tv to have digital cable and dvr?
Posted on Sep 30, 2009 under Digital news and reports |The main TV in the house has lots more channels with an actual menu… Is that called digital cable? Anyway, the secondary TVs in the house only get basic and I would like to know 1) the proper way to convey what I’m asking for here, and 2) if it’s possible and what it would cost. This is on Time Warner Cable. Thanks!

Yes, the main tv has digital.
You want boxes for the other tv’s to be the same. Regular digital boxes are like $5 more a month for each box. If you want the dvr option, that costs more.

yeah, ur main tv has a box (digital converter). It takes the digital signal (many more channels) and converts it to analog, so ur analog tv can see it. The other tv is taking the analog signal and feeding it directly in to the tv. In order for to get digital you would need another box from time warner…
Depending on where u are it should cost u an additional $6 - $10
