Is it possible to change digital camera settings so quicktime doesnt take video files?

I have a kodak C813 digital camera with video recording on it. Every time I upload any of the videos on it, it automatically is uploaded as a quicktime file. I can’t figure out how to change that, if there is even a way, so that I can use the video files in different programs. Is there a way to change the settings that I’m just unaware about? Or even at the very least a free program to convert video files to a different file type?

Are organizations like the RIAA responsible for digital content from other countries?

Can the RIAA prosecute torrent users in America or other countries other than Britian who download British movies or music for example? Does the RIAA or any of those other organizations around the world have the jurisdiction to warn, let alone sue a p2p user not of their country or their country’s content?

Furthermore, if you are in a different country and download american content… what kind of power do those companies have?

I’m 38, soon to be 39.
I left a good job in Admin a year ago to re-train as a graphic designer. I now know have a decent portfolio but I’m worried that employers will look at my age and no further.
Design tends to be a young industry at the bottom end (which is where I’d be coming in), have I made a grave mistake do you think?

Please only reply if you have direct experience of this industry in the UK - it’s easy to say ‘it’s never too late’ but sometimes…it is.

What digital camera (under $300) has the fastest refresh rate?

I know that refresh rates vary depending on flash, exposure, etc. We have two small children who don’t sit still for very long, the opportunity to "catch the moment" always seems to pass while we wait for our camera to refresh. Are some camera brands better than others?
