I already have the mac but they said I get to trade with a laptop once I start doing good. Well I finished 4 blocks in each class in the first two weeks and I get 3’s in every class. What do I have to do to get a laptop?

I wanna use it for making my own short films, but I’m not loaded so I wouldn’t want to spend any more than £400 or $646. I have Adobe Premiere Pro and I want to be able to capture my footage onto that program. I know MiniDV tapes shoot in the right format for that, but if I were to shoot on an SD card for example, would the format of my video (e.g. avi, mpeg) be compatible. And if not, can I simply convert the video format to make it compatible.
Adobe Premiere Pro doesn’t like files like avi’s as I can’t edit it frame by frame if I don’t have a mov file format.
So basically this is want I wanna know:
- What video format does a camcorder capture on a SD card?
- If not mov or vob, can you convert it?
Also, if you want to, if you know of a really good value for money camcorder, either MiniDV or digital, could you let me know of it.
Oh, and also can you capture footage off these camcorders via something other than a firewire. If not, is there a firewire to usb adapter on the market?
Thanks for your time, 10 points are available.

Interesting situation here. I am attempting to connect an A/V source to my HDTV. My HDTV has component connections (YPrPb) and so does my source; so luckily I will be able to transfer a high definition video signal.
Now here is where things get tricky. My A/V source has an S/PDIF output in the form of an RCA interconnect (http://www.hometheaternetwork.com/HTN_audio_I3.htm#SPDIF). My HDTV, on the other hand, only has a Left and Right analog audio inputs paired with the component video (http://www.hometheaternetwork.com/HTN_audio_I4.htm#Analog). I’m not quite sure why you would pair analog RCA audio with a pretty good video input, but that isn’t the point…
My question is how would I go from that digital S/PDIF connection to the analog audio?

I was really stressed out from money all month so i drank a little more than usual. Like at least one glass of red wine a night, and then some on other nights. And i went to a baseball game last night and drank A LOT of beers. And i have trouble sleeping so i have been taking Tylenol PM every time. I plan on stopping everything now. No more drinks and no more Tylenol. And i had a very early miscarriage last month. AT 4 weeks. Is everything going to be okay? has anyone else been in this situation???
they took blood from me and it was back down to zero. And i took a pregnancy test like 5 days ago and it said "not pregnant". I just assumed everything was ok.

My birthday is in less than a month and I saw this camera on hsn and really liked it’s features. I don’t want to buy it from there though and I guess that’s the only place it’s been released? I found it on amazon for $99 but it doesn’t mention the release date just that it is not yet available. I just want to know if I should start looking for another camera or just wait. P.S. If anyone has any great suggestions for a similar camera with similar features or just a good recommendation for a digital camera under $150 please let me know
