Are there adapters for digital RCA connectors (red, blue, green) to standard composite (white, red, yellow)?
Posted on Sep 01, 2009 under Digital news and reports | 2 CommentsWell, I’ve been looking for a new TV to buy since mine has finally given out. I only have about $300 to spend. Most of the TVs that I like in this price range seem to only have the digital RCA connectors (the red, blue, and green ones). But I have some devices (video game consoles, DVD players) that use the standard composite/analog cables (red, white, and yellow) and I’d like to use those with this new TV.
Now, I’ve tried doing some searching for converters/adapters but I think my terminology might be a little wrong or something. I don’t really know, but I can’t really find what I’m looking for (if it even exists). But, I’ve talked to a friend and he says he has some.
So, can anybody help me find a way to use devices with composite/analog cables or connectors on a TV that only has digital connectors? Mainly some type of adapter/converter?
Here’s a link to the wiki page on RCA connectors which might help you understand what I’m asking. Please help!

Posted on Sep 01, 2009 under Digital news and reports | 2 CommentsI need a digital power timer that will come on every 5 minutes for use in time lapse photography. Any ideas?
Posted on Sep 01, 2009 under Digital news and reports | 1 CommentI am making time lapse photos of plant flowers under a microscope. I don’t want to run the lamp the entire time I will be making the video since it will burn the bulb faster and dehydrate my flower. I’ve looked but couldn’t find a digital power timer that would allow you to toggle between on/off at relatively short intervals. I would like to turn the lamp on for 20 seconds at 4:50 until 5:10 and the use the camera’s time lapse function to take the picture every 5 minutes.
Any ideas? Thanks
