Not all batteries are rechargeable as suggested by Niki. Alkaline batteries are among these.
Some batteries that are rechargeable are not recommended for use in some cameras too. Power consumption produces current draw and those that cannot support the demands of the camera can overheat significantly (being an electronics tech gives me some credulance).
If your camera manual offers alternatives in the Lithium, Mercury or Cadmium areas, you can use them in place of the standard Alkalines but don’t think any rechargeable battery is an alternative.
Read the manual and adhere to suggested uses.
All digital cameras (SLR or not) can generally accept some form of rechargeable battery unless the unique design of the battery prohibits substitution or no such rechargeable was made for the battery type.
.
All take rechargeable battries. One time use batteries are going to be big drain on finances. One set of batteries will give you around 30 photos (with flash) and perhaps 50 without flash. So get yourself two sets of rechargeable batteries and a recharger. Always carry a spare set of batteries.
My Fujifilm S3 Pro takes AA batteries and they’re rechargable. I have to take them out and put them in the charger to recharge them. I doubt there are any cameras with in-camera recharging if that’s what you’re asking. Even with point and shoots that feature is rare. My Fujifilm Finepix F10 has in camera recharging. It’s so nice.

As far as I know, any DSLR I’ve ever seen has a rechargeable battery. Lasting anywhere from 8-12 hours from personal experience.
