  1. I made the error of storing my beloved photos on a photo gallery on my computer. When it crashed last month, I lost everything for the past 5 years. I was crushed.

  2. I print 50 or so of the best photos from vacations, etc. and leave the rest on the computer. I have lost photos that way but at least have the best ones, like to keep them on a photo CD too, Vista is not as simple to do that as XP.

  3. I do both. Some I print and some I leave on the computer. I back it up frequently, so I have copies on an external drive. I also email some of the best to family, so they have copies. When the drive gets full, I move some of them to a CD.

  4. leave them on the cpu

  5. I have a flickr account where I store my photos. A computer crash doesn’t affect it. It costs about $25 per year, and I can either make my own prints or I can order them from flickr.

I download them onto a CD.

  7. I select around 25 a month for photos. I burn the rest to CDs. I am going to put the lot on a DVD when I get round to it. The The memory card in camera at moment is 4gb so will hold around 1500 photos, when that’s exhausted I’ll also save that card and buy another

  8. I put them all on CD’s in case the hard drive crashes.
I print a few to keep an album of the grandkids.

  9. I put them on a thumb drive and only print out the ones I really want to display.

  10. I do a variety of things. I print out a few for albums; I upload most to a website like Kodak; I keep some in My Pictures on my PC. Once I’ve done all that I delete them from the camera

  11. Digital camera - Yes. Both the wife & I print some but not for albums. We are gradually learning more about making better quality travel presentations - including video clips, etc. Backup to external drives is much easier now. I had a similar mishap like Baw. I don’t want to do that again. Photography is now the wife’s hobby.

I still have 35mm film cameras. I am thinking about going back to using them since photo slide colors seem to be more vivid & warmer in tone.

Sing, dance & take pictures in the rain….

  12. I am trying to learn how to transfer or duplicate them onto a flash drive as well as cd/dvd. I have pretty dissatisfied with the long term quality of printing them at home. we got a new printer, use only the highest quality ink and photo paper… I dont know.

  13. Lumpy Taters Says:

I have never kept pictures of anything. My wife on the other hand takes pictures of anything anytime. Until just recently, she preferred prints, now she is more aware of her selections and only prints what she wants,

  14. I download to a DVD. I have well over a thousand old family photos on DVD’S.
