Refurbished digital cameras?

Well actually you should be concerned about the brand. Canon and Nikon are the world leaders in digital technology for good reasons as is Fuji.
Refurb equipment can be tempting because of the price but you shouldn’t base any decision on these expensive devices based on price - not smart.
All that said if you do decide to buy refurb make sure, first, that the refurb work was done by the original manufacturer, not some fly by night third party who only wants your credit card number.
If you can, buy refurb from a store that sells these items. Shoot with it, look at the product, handle it and get a general feel for it’s overall quality and workmanship.
Third, here’s a site I do business with often that does have some refurb and used equipment. These folks are honest as the day is long and will never try to upsell or pressure you into something you don’t want.
Besides that, they’re prices are fair.

ecost.com has a huge selection of reburbihsed cameras for a great price. I have heard other people complain about ecost.com, but I have ordered numerous items from them without any problems. I recently purchased a Kodak ZD8612IS 8.1 MP with 12X optical zoom for $68.00 plus $11.00 shipping.
