what exactly are you trying to do here? take the video file from the DVD and put it into a digital version on your PS3′S HardDrive? if yes you will probably have to rip it using a program like Magic DVD ripper as it will be protected. then copy the video file to a memory stick and copy to ps3 harddrive.

As I know, PS3 supports mp4 video, if your digital copy is mp4 video, you can transfer it to your PS3 hard drive.
