  1. Not a very popular brand so I would say not many people are really satisfied with it
I say you should get a camera from one of the more popular brands like Sony, Nikon, and Canon.

  2. There are three, only three, world leaders in this technology and GE is not one of them.
They are Canon, Nikon and Fuji in that order. Why would you ever consider an investment in this kind of equipment and then buy a VW bug instead of a real car?

If you’re basing a purchase on the price - bad idea… very bad. Instead save some more and get one that will last, is a tested world leader and you’ll be much happier in the long run.

  3. GE is a great company!

They make excellent home appliances, industrial gas turbines and airplane engines.
They just aren’t that well known for making cameras. It just happens not to be their thing.

I don’t own one, but I always suggest - if you want good product, stick with company that made its name making cameras. Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Pentax and to some distant degree Sony are the five I would put my money into. They have worked with optics and camera electronics for years and years and their knowledge and expertise is uncontested when it comes to photography.

Just think of it this way:
    - Would you buy a Canon automobile? Or you’d rather stick with Toyota?
    - Would you fly on Olympus Airplane? Or you’d rather board a Boeing?
    - Would you get Nikon Washing Machine? Pr perhaps here you’d go to GE?

Same thing - GE camera is just about fits above for us photography enthusiasts. It may be a decent clicker, I don’t know that. But if you want real quality - stick with the right brands.

    LEM.
