i want to buy a digital cam..n i was thinking about nikon s220 or sony cybershot w180?

I have never owned a Sony, but have owned Canon, Olympus and Nikon cameras. After using them all I personally will only buy Canon from now on. The Olympus camera was more expensive but the auto-focus and anti-jitter features are not as good. The Nikon has terrible color quality - reds and whites tend to blow out.
Do yourself a favor and check out the Canon cameras in your price range.

Sony’s aren’t as good as Nikon. They both have they’re ups and downs. I don’t own either of them, I’ve used them before. Go with the Nikon. Merry Christmas!!

Personally I’m Nikon fan but for those 2 model I would go with Sony W180.
