Importing pictures and videos from digital camera to macbook?

I Just Got A Macbook and i want to upload my videos and pictures to the computer… but i dont know how. i have a kodak c180 camera… Please Help!!!

    Either connect your camera to the computer or get an SDHC card reader (preferred method). You can get a reader at Walmart for $9. Use iPhoto to import the pictures and iMovie to import the videos.

    Look in iPhoto or Image Capture’s Help menu on importing videos and still images to the Macbook.
