I need help picking a digital camera…?

This will be my first camera. I am only wanting to spend $80 to $100.

I will be using this camera for normal uses, holidays, and, parties.

Im not sure what brand is good so any advice is much appreciated.All i know is that optical zoom is better than digital zoom, and that 6 to 8 mp is good for 8×10 prints and 10 mp is good for poster prints.

Problem with my Insignia digital camera. Why do my batteries(AA) die so quickly?

I bought this silver, used, semi new Insignia 7.0 Megapixels digital camera from Ebay. Takes photos, records voice, video. At first it worked well, bought Duracell (AA) batteries put them in & turned the camera on to see how it worked. I even took a few pictures but I had to buy a memory card because without it I could only take 2 pictures. Batteries did ok at the beginning. Later they kept dying quickly used for about 20 mins, maybe even less & camera said "replace battery." What should I do? I don’t want to keep buying these batteries if they arent even going to last me a day. Is there something wrong with the camera? Or batteries?
